Andrews:
Jerry Walter Turner, Sr., 60, died Sunday, November 27, 2011, at his residence.
Mr. Turner was born in Andrews on July 22, 1951, a son of the late John Walter Turner and Dorothy Ellen Eaddy Turner. He lived all his life in the Andrews area and attended Andrews High School. Mr. Turner served in the Marine Corps. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and a former employee of the Marine Terminal at Nucor Steel.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Turner was predeceased by two brothers, John "Toot" Turner and John Newton.
Surviving are: his wife, Tammy Gore Turner of Andrews, three sons, Jerry "Walter" Turner, Jr. (Erica), James "Bubba" Turner (Jodi), and Nick Turner (Jodie), all of Andrews; four daughters, Melissa Bowers, Mandy Fenters (Marty), and Becky Ray (Chris), all of Andrews, and Amanda Phillips (Joey) of Kingstree; his step-mother, Mary Faye Newton Turner of Andrews; a brother, Ricky Turner (Dorothy) of Andrews; two sisters, Louise Cooper (LaVerne) of Johnsonville and Mary Taylor (Ricky) of Andrews; and fourteen grandchildren.
Funeral services will be one o'clock Tuesday afternoon, November 29, 2011, at the graveside in Andrews Memorial Cemetery.
