Georgetown: Jimmie "Bubba" Earl Cannon, Jr., 40, died July 1, 2015, in Andrews. Mr. Cannon was born in Georgetown on September 4, 1974. He grew up in Georgetown, graduated from Georgetown High School, and served in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Cannon was a self-employed professional carpenter and painter. He loved fishing and woodcarving. Surviving are: his father, Jimmie E. Cannon, Sr. of Georgetown; his mother, Sherrill Lynn Wilson of Andrews; step-mother, Brenda J. Cannon of Andrews; step-father, Sammy Bruce, Jr. of Andrews; a brother, Phillip Cannon (Vania) of Myrtle Beach; a sister, Judy Gibbs (William) of Syracuse, N.Y.; two step-sisters, Christy M. Bruce of Macon, Ga. and Lagina Boyd of Andrews; grandmother, Arthur Lynn Alford; and grandfather, Cole Alford. Funeral services will be three o'clock, Thursday afternoon, July 9, 2015, at Piney Forest Baptist Church near Andrews. Officiating will be the Rev. Craig Stephenson.
