Andrews: John Joseph Bauer, Jr. 79, died Friday, March 2, 2012, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Mr. Bauer was born on November 11, 1932 in Andrews, a son of the late John Joseph Bauer and Martha Louise Linn Bauer. He graduated from Andrews High School and lived all his life in Andrews. Mr. Bauer retired after 43 years of employment with International Paper Co. and also retired from the SC Army National Guard. He loved to hunt, fish and play pinochle. Surviving are: his wife, Katherine Lambert Taylor Bauer of Andrews; two step-sons, Archie Taylor, Sr. (Debbie) and Ricky Taylor (Mary), both of Andrews; a step-daughter, Earline Goude (David) of Andrews; eight step-grandchildren; twelve step-great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces. Graveside services will be at two o'clock on Monday afternoon, March 5, 2012, at Andrews Memorial Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. Steve Wilson. Sign a guestbook at: www.mayerfuneralhome.com.
