Georgetown:

John A. Bentz, 90, passed away at his home on December 15, 2022.

John is survived by his wife of 70 years, Evelyn Yonkers Bentz, their son John M. Bentz (Sung Soon), their daughter Melody Bentz Eberle, four grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

John was born in Brooklyn, NY on August 26, 1932, son of the late John Henry Bentz and Florence Conway Bentz, and is predeceased by his sister Gloria Bentz Scibilia.

John proudly served in the Air National Guard and the US Air Force, and had a varied career in engineering, as well as technical recruiting, service and retail management, and real estate sales.

As a 35-year resident of Georgetown, SC, John greatly enjoyed his active involvement with Prince George Winyah Parish Church.

He is loved, and will be greatly missed.
