Georgetown
John Philip Dellasega, 82, passed away peacefully at home in Georgetown, South Carolina on May 16, 2025. Affectionately known as Phil, he was a beacon of kindness and encouragement to all who knew him. Phil leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication, particularly visible in the dream home he created for his family at DeBordieu.
Phil was born in Charleston, SC, and graduated from Swainsboro High School in Georgia before earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Georgia Tech, where he attended on a tennis scholarship. He furthered his education with a BS in Finance from Syracuse University and an MBA from Stanford University. His academic achievements paved the way for a successful career at IBM, where he rose to the position of Senior Vice President of Finance.
Beyond his professional life, Phil was an active member of Georgetown Presbyterian Church. His love for sports continued throughout his life, enjoying golf, tennis, football, and being a vibrant part of the DeBordieu Club and Community.
Parents John Joseph and Evelyn Lindsay Dellasega preceded Phil in death, as did his first wife, Nancy Flanders Dellasega.
