Georgetown John Wesley Hudson, 88, died June 26, 2010 at Waccamaw Community Hospital in Murrells Inlet. Mr. Hudson was born on October 7, 1921 in Tarboro, N. C., a son of the late John Wesley and Ruby Osbourne Hudson. He attended Duncan Memorial Methodist Church while living in Georgetown. Mr. Hudson was a graduate of North Carolina State University. From 1942 through 1945, he served in the US Navy in the Pacific during World War II. Before retiring, Mr. Hudson was employed by Thomas Industries in sales. Mr. Hudson was predeceased by his first wife, Doris Wheeler Hudson; and a sister Randall Morrow. Surviving are: his wife, Doris Davis Hudson of Georgetown; two sons, John Wesley "Biff" Hudson, Jr. and his wife Downing of Pawleys Island and Marcus Wheeler Hudson and his wife, Kyle of Punta Gorda, Fla.; a brother, William Hudson and his wife Louise of Newport News, Va.; four granddaughters, Carol, Hamilton, Eva, and Emma Hudson; great-granddaughter, Darcy Kerns; a stepdaughter, Deborah Seigler of Pawleys Island; and a brother-in-law, Hal Morrow of Charlotte, N. C. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 30, 2010, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Pawleys Island with a reception following the service. Pastor David Lyle will preside.
