Hemingway:
John Murray Joye, Jr., 67, formerly of Georgetown and Charleston, died Wednesday, October 18, 2006, at his brother's residence in Upper Georgetown County.
Mr. Joye was born in Georgetown Co. on October 23, 1938, a son of the late John M. Joye and Linnie Miller Joye. He was a graduate of Pleasant Hill High School. Mr. Joye was a member of Good Hope United Methodist Church. He retired from International Paper Co. in 1999, where he was a member of the Quarter Century Club.
Surviving are: a sister, Miriam J. Goude and her husband Bethel of Hemingway; and three brothers, Cleland Joye of Murrells Inlet, Rembert Joye and his wife Sally of Marion, and Larry Joye and his wife Kathy of Hemingway; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Joye was predeceased by: a brother, Laurice Joye; and a sister, Cecil J. Owens.
Funeral services will be three o'clock Friday afternoon, October 20, 2006, at the graveside in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. Officiating will be the Rev. Themos Cribb and the Rev. James Herring.

The family will receive friends at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home Thursday afternoon, October 19, 2006, from three-thirty until five-thirty.
