Andrews:
John D. "Pete" Moore, Sr., 84, died Tuesday, October 26, 2004, at his residence.
Mr. Moore was born at Trio in Williamsburg Co. on November 14, 1919, a son of the late William P. Moore and Savannah A. McDaniels Moore. He attended Clemson University and taught automotive mechanics at Andrews High School and Williamsburg Technical College until his retirement in 1986. Mr. Moore was a member of Earle United Methodist Church and was a former Adult Sunday School Class teacher and church treasurer. He was a former board member of Waccamaw Regional Development and a former member of the Williamsburg Co. School Board and the board of the Department of Social Services.
Surviving are: his wife, Goldie Wheeler Moore of Andrews; six sons, John D. Moore, Jr., James W. Moore, Tim E. Moore, William A. "Tony" Moore, Michael W. Moore, and Jeff A. Moore, all of Andrews; three daughters, Patricia M. Rogerson of Georgetown, and Teresa M. Byrd and Debbie M. Moore, both of Andrews: a brother, Charles R. Moore of Kingstree; twenty-seven grandchildren; and thirty-one great-grandchildren.
Mr. Moore was predeceased by a son, Ronald "Gregg" Moore.
Funeral services will be three-thirty o'clock Thursday afternoon, October 28, 2004 at Earle United Methodist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. J. Robert Huggins and the Rev. Tony Powell. Burial will follow in Harmony Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening, October 27, 2004, at the Andrews Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home from six until eight.
