May 8, 1988 — June 7, 2026

Andrews, SC

Jon Phillip “Trey” Cooper, III, age 38 of Andrews, SC died on June 7, 2026.

Born on Mother’s Day, May 8, 1988 in Charleston SC, he was the beloved son of Tracy Mau (Chris) of Georgetown and Jon Phillip “Phil” Cooper, II (Valinda) of Andrews.

A carpenter by trade, Trey loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and animals. He was deeply loved by his parents and especially his grandmother, Brenda Cooper, who never ceased praying for him. He was the first child of his parents and first grandchild on both sides of his family. While he had his battles, he always had a strong love for his family and friends. He will be remembered for his great hugs, his adorable smile and his enduring spirit. While his journey was not always easy, we take comfort in knowing that God’s grace is greater than any burden carried in this life.

He is survived by his brothers, Bryce Cooper, Mason Mau (Kristina), Hunter Mau (Kassidee) his sister, Courtney Cooper and step-sisters Ashley Glass (Robbie), Kayla Mau, Taylor Bryan (Benjie) and Dana Mercer, his stepmother, Rhonda Fulton, his paternal grandmother, Brenda Cooper his maternal step-grandfather, Wheeler Rowell, Jr. and a special cousin, Zachary Cooper, whom he loved as a brother, as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He also leaves behind his beloved dog, Oakley.

He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Elizabeth “Linda” Rowell, his maternal grandfather, Tom Tompkins and his paternal grandfather, Jon Phillip Cooper.

Arrangements are incomplete and will be announce by the Maryville Chapel of Mayer-Ethridge Funeral Home.
