Georgetown:
Jonathan McClellan Parker, 47, died Tuesday, September 25, 2007, at his residence.
Mr. Parker was born in Georgetown on June 25, 1960, a son of Priscilla McClellan Parker and Cecil Ulice Parker. He grew up in McClellanville and attended the McClellanville Schools and the Merchant Marine school in Piney Point, Md. Mr. Parker served in the Merchant Marine for a time until ill health forced him to give it up. He was a member of New Wappetaw Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Parker was predeceased by: a brother, Mickey Parker.
Surviving in addition to his mother of McClellanville and his father of Georgetown are: a sister, Cecilia (Avon) P. Capps of McClellanville; a nephew Andrew (Karen) Capps of Bonneau; two nieces, Laura (Matt) Tarry of Surfside Beach and Rebecca (Emery) Porter of Georgetown; two great-nephews; and a great-niece.
Memorial services will be two-thirty o'clock Sunday afternoon, September 30, 2007 in New Wappetaw Presbyterian Church in McClellanville. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Walter G. Cook. Inurnment will follow in McClellan Family Cemetery in McClellanville.
