Andrews:
Joneil Teasley Hinnant, age 76 years, beloved and devoted wife of Ransom O. Hinnant for 57 years entered into eternal rest on Sunday, June 6, 2004, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Hinnant was born on July 22, 1927 in Hartwell, Georgia, the daughter of Clara Lunsford Teasley and Quillie O. Teasley. She was a resident of Andrews since 1954. She was a member of Suttons United Methodist Church. She was a member of Chapter 195 of the Order of the Eastern Star in Andrews for 52 years. Mrs. Hinnant, also known as Ms. Jo or Granny by her many friends loved to go with her daughter, Dianne, to work at the Ball & Que in Georgetown, where she spent many hours talking to friends and customers that she loved so much. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother that was our rock.
She was predeceased by: her mother; her father; a brother, Fred Teasley of Anderson; and a sister, Mary Campbell of Greenville.
Surviving are: her husband, Ransom O. Hinnant, of Andrews; two daughters, Dianne H. Crosby and her husband Swayne Crosby Jr. and Lynn H. Benford and her husband Buddy Benford, all of Andrews; two grandchildren, Kelly Crosby Roberts and Tammy Lynn Benford, both of Andrews; three great grandchildren, Kelly Renee Roberts, Laura Michelle Roberts, Bryan Michael Roberts, all of Andrews; three sisters, Louise T. Wightman and her husband Jule of Greenwood, and Frances T. Chastain and her husband Ralph and Nancy T. Lewis and her husband Gene, all of Anderson; three sister-in-laws, Mary Emma H. Coleman of Pamplico, Emilee G. Hinnant of Charleston, and Wendell Teasley of Anderson; a brother-in-law, Lewis Campbell of Greenville; seven nieces; three nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be two o'clock Wednesday afternoon, June 9, 2004, at the Andrews Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home. Officiating will be the Rev. J. Robert Huggins, the Rev. Billy E. Rufus, and the Rev. Gary B. Adams. Burial will follow in Andrews Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from seven until nine Tuesday evening, June 8, 2004.
