Joseph "Joey" Earle Johnson, 66, husband of Lisa Scott Johnson, died January 16, 2025.

Born December 7, 1959, he was predeceased by his parents, Ella Martha Baker, James Claude Johnson, and Asdis Fingigerdur Samundsdottir Johnson.

Joey grew up in Georgetown, SC, where he worked in construction. He was an avid NASCAR fan who loved Dale Earnhardt.

He leaves behind two children, Ryan Johnson and Breanna Blakely (Mardie); a stepdaughter, Stephanie Jordan; a grandson, Knox Blakely; two sisters, Mary Ann Thomason and Renee Knight; and two brothers, Richard Deason (Tina) and Tommy Baker.

He was predeceased by his brothers, James Johnson, Herbert Johnson, Larry Johnson, John Johnson, Ralph Johnson and Jimmy Deason; and his sister, Nancy McDewitt.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, January 24, 2025, in the Mayer-Ethridge Funeral Home, Maryville Chapel, 2200 South Fraser Street, Georgetown, SC 29440.
