Georgetown
Joyce Elane (Taylor) Hammond, 80, passed away peacefully May 4, 2025, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Born in Johnson City, NY on February 8, 1945. Joyce devoted her time to various non-profit organizations including 23 years working for Family and Children's Society, leading a Girl Scout Troup, and fund raising for "Dollars for Scholars".
Joyce retired to Georgetown, SC in 2007 where she was a member of the Georgetown Presbyterian Church.
Joyce is survived by her husband of 60 years, Robert, children Jill and Tim, and sister Margret.
A Memorial Service will be held at Georgetown Presbyterian Church at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 24, 2025.
The Downtown Chapel of Mayer-Ethridge Funeral Home and Crematory is handling the arrangements, 843-546-4184.
