Juanita Alford Freeman, 78, died Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at Life Care Center of Charleston.
Mrs. Freeman was born in Groveland in Bryan Co., Ga. on March 24, 1928, a daughter of the late David N. Alford and Annie Mae Edge Alford. She was a retired bookkeeper and former employee of McDuffie-Marlowe Furniture Co. Mrs. Freeman was a member of Wayne United Methodist Church and was a former Sunday School teacher and nursery helper.
Mrs. Freeman was predeceased by: her husband, Robert Freeman, Jr.; a daughter, Gail F. Poston; and a granddaughter, Bonnie Katina Lambert.
Surviving are: three daughters, Brenda F. Savage and her husband Bill of Stockbridge, Ga., Patricia A. Butts and her husband Jack of Hanover, Va. and Donna F. Thompson and her husband Eddie of Georgetown; three brothers, Oscar Alford of Warner Robins, Ga., Homer Alford of Cochran, Ga., and Alphus Alford of Nanek, Alas.; five sisters, Julia Thompson of Bloomingdale, Ga., Margie Clifton and Lois Harper, both of Byron, Ga., Jessie DeLoach of Metter, Ga., and Lora Hinley of Pooler, Ga.; six grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be two o'clock Friday afternoon, May 12, 2006, at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home. Officiating will be the Rev. Curtis Wells. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
