Georgetown:
Juanita Porter Gordon, 84, died Tuesday, March 29, 2005, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Gordon was born in the Oak Grove community of Georgetown Co. on October 7, 1920, a daughter of the late William Alpheus Porter and Blanche Mercer Porter. She grew up in the Oak Grove community and graduated from Andrews High School. Mrs. Gordon was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church.
Surviving are: her husband, David W. Gordon, Jr. of Georgetown; two sons, David W. Gordon, III and his wife Sue of Atlanta, Ga. and C. Kelley Gordon of Baltimore, Md.; two daughters, Rebecca S. Hebert and E. Niccolette G. Vaughan, both of Orlando, Fla.; five grandchildren, Capt. David W. Gordon, IV and his wife Summer of Ft. Irwin, Calif., Leslie Hebert and Luke Hebert, both of Orlando, Fla., and Sarah Gordon and Nicholas Gordon, both of Baltimore, Md.; a great-granddaughter, Austin Riley Gordon of Ft. Irwin, Calif.; two sisters, Vera P. Johnson of Georgetown and Arline P. Cribb of Pawley's Island; a brother-in-law, Johnnie B. Johnson of Georgetown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be five o'clock Thursday afternoon, March 31, 2005 at the graveside in Oak Grove United Methodist Churchyard. Officiating will be the Rev. E. Bruce Adams.
