Pawleys Island:
Julius Elmore Cameron, Jr., 80, widower of Anne Skinner Cameron, died Sunday, November 18, 2012, at Waccamaw Community Hospital in Murrells Inlet.
Mr. Cameron was born in Marion on June 25, 1932, a son of the late Julius Elmore Cameron, Sr. and Tommie Belle Godbold Cameron. He grew up in Georgetown and graduated from Winyah High School and the University of S. C. School of Pharmacy. Mr. Cameron served in the U. S. Army and was the former owner of Cameron's Pharmacy. He retired in 1992. Mr. Cameron was a member of Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church. He was an avid Gamecock fan and a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother.
Surviving are: two sons, James E. Cameron of Pawleys Island and Timothy N. Cameron of Garden City; a daughter, Tamela C. Gardner (Frank) of Conway; four grandchildren; and two sisters, Linda C. Bailey (Herb) and Anita C. Hall (Billy), both of Georgetown.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Cameron was predeceased by: two sisters, Joyce C. Stevenson and Frances C. Johnson.
Funeral services will be held at eleven o'clock on Wednesday morning, November 21, 2012, at Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Dora Gafford. Entombment will follow at Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
The family will received friends on Tuesday evening, November 20, 2012, at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home from six until eight o'clock.
