Justin Levi McKenzie, 35, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at MUSC Health

Black River Medical Center.

Justin was born the son of Alvin (Shannon) McKenzie and Angela Parrish on

September 25, 1988, in Greenville, SC. Justin graduated from Carolina High School in

Greenville and went on to become a welder for Pierce Machinery.

Justin was an outdoorsman who enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing. He was

known as a jokester and liked to make others laugh. Justin enjoyed baseball in his

younger years and loved the Clemson Tigers.

In addition to his parents, Justin leaves behind a son, Reece McKenzie, paternal

grandmother, Carol McKenzie, maternal grandparents, Becky and Eddie Griffin, a sister,

Shelli McKenzie (J.J.), and six nephews, Chandler, Ayden, Jay, Jaxin, Haiden, and Greyson.

Justin was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Alvin Eric McKenzie and Kenneth

Chandler.

A service will take place at The Christian Fortress on Sunday, March 31st at 3:00 pm with

burial to follow at Ivey Cemetery, officiated by Pastor Geraldine Bednego. The family will

receive friends from 2:00-3:00 PM prior to the service in the church.

The Andrews Chapel of Mayer-Ethridge Funeral Home and Crematory is handling the

arrangements.
