Scranton:
Katherine Jeanette Rowe, 63, died Friday, April 9, 2010, in Carolinas Hospital System in Florence.
Miss Rowe was born in Hemingway on December 24, 1946, a daughter of the late Andrew Melvin Rowe and Mildred Bullock Rowe. She was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith.
Kat was a special needs lady. She enjoyed going to work, loved to dance and won many contests, and also won several Special Olympics medals. Most of all, she loved her bible and church. Kat was a wonderful and special person.
Miss Rowe was predeceased by: a brother, Andrew D. "Donnie:" Rowe; and a sister, Dorothy "Dot" R. Wrightson.
Surviving are: five brothers, Dr. William E. Rowe (Virginia) of Chattanooga, Tenn., R. Harold Rowe (Anne) of Smyrna, Ga., Dennis M. Rowe (Loraine) of Murrells Inlet, and David A. Rowe (Lucille) and Richard E. Rowe, both of Georgetown; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be three o'clock Monday afternoon, April 12, 2010, at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home. Officiating will be the Rev. Robert Hayes. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Georgetown.

The family will receive friends prior to the funeral services on Monday at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home from one-thirty until three.
