Andrews: Kathleen Parker Altman, age 95, widow of V. Elbert Altman, passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2018 in Florence, South Carolina. A graveside service will be at Noon Saturday, December 1, 2018 in Andrews Memorial Cemetery conducted by the Very Rev. Ken Weldon. She was born Sept. 16, 1923 in Atlanta, Ga. a daughter of the late Peter Byran and Kathleen Moran Parker. She spent most of her adult life in Andrews where she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Andrews and lived for the past eight and a half years with her daughter and son-in-law in Florence. She served on the board of both the American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society of Georgetown County. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by her daughter Kathleen Elizabeth Rozier and her grandson Richard Allen Godley. She is survived by her daughter Priscilla Altman Logan (Harry) of Florence and her son E. Parker Altman (Sheila) of Simpsonville; her brother William Moran Parker of Tarpon Springs, Fla.; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Her family is most thankful for the loving care and attention given to her by Clemietine Gee, Rene Gee, Rosemary Frazier and Joan Brown. Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice or McLeod Hospice. Waters-Powell Funeral Home of Florence is in charge of arrangements.
