Pawleys Island: Kathleen Morris Jones Canady, 87, died Thursday, June 30, 2011, at her residence. Mrs. Canady was born in Flomaton, Ala. on July 14, 1923, a daughter of the late Austin Morris and Nannie Mae Simpson Morris. She was a member of Pawleys Island Presbyterian Church and a former Sunday School Teacher at First Baptist Church in Georgetown. Mrs. Canady was a retired employee of Oneita Knitting Mills. Mrs. Canady was the widow of Willie Clifton Canady and John Henry Jones. Surviving are: a son, Johnny Mack Jones (Barbara) of Georgetown; two daughters, Frances J. Ward (Howard) and Kay J. Biser, both of Pawleys Island; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be two o'clock Saturday afternoon, July 2, 2011, at the Pawley Island Chapel on Pawleys Island.
