Obituary

LaGay Belcher, 68, passed away Monday, December 2, 2024, in Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital. She was born in Charleston, SC a daughter of Graham Lambert and Agnes Laverne "Tootsie" (Mitchum) Lambert.

She was an active member of Saints Delight PH Church where she taught Sunday School for 30 years. She was a very talented pianist/organist, and never turned down a trip to a good thrift store! LaGay loved the Lord most of all and instilled his love into all her children and grandchildren.

LaGay is survived by her husband, Lester, of Georgetown; two children, Owen Belcher (Tara) and Hollie Britt (Timothy), both of Georgetown; her grandchildren, Drew (Katlyn), Grainger, Hudson, Abbey, and Sullivan, all of Georgetown; sister, Deborah Thomas of Georgetown; aunt Evelyn Lambert of Georgetown; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father Graham, mother Tootsie, and brother, Flint Lambert.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Wednesday, December 4, 2024, in Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church, 8285 Saints Delight Rd., Georgetown, SC. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday in Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church, with burial to follow in Lambert Family Cemetery.

The Downtown Chapel of Mayer-Ethridge Funeral Home and Crematory is handling the arrangements.
