Obituary

Kathy Herrington Lambert, 68, passed away Sunday, November 9, 2025, in Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital. She was born in Georgetown, a daughter of the late Clarence W. and Florine (Rheuark) Herrington.

She worked for the Georgetown Clerk of Court and truly enjoyed helping others through her work and in her daily life. She cherished spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She had a gift for making people feel welcome, and her home was known as a place where the door was always open. She never met a stranger and was known for her warm, outgoing, and bubbly personality.

She enjoyed crafting, floral design, and thrifting, and loved her cocker spaniel. She was well known for her baking and cooking—especially her famous "biscuits"—which brought comfort and joy to many. Whether it was gathering around a fire or roasting oysters with loved ones, she treasured simple moments spent together.

More than anything, she loved her children and grandchildren, and she welcomed their friends in as if they were her own. Her kindness, generosity, and joyful spirit touched the lives of everyone around her, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughter, Jenifer Lambert (Timmy); son, Eric Scott Lambert (Kelly); grandchildren, Ella Claire Lambert, Eva Scott Lambert, and Karter Emerson Tanner; her siblings, Elaine McDaniel, Lori Herrington, Lisa Rinehart (Gray), and sister-in-law Susan Herrington; a special friend, Steve Smith; and a beloved fur baby, Zoey Lynn Lambert, also held a special place in her heart.

In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her siblings, Phil Herrington and Charles "Wilbur" Herrington; brother-in-law Burlin McDaniel; and sisters-in-law Dara Herrington, Karen Cox, and Ann Tucker.

Pallbearers will be Chris Herrington, Michael Herrington, Preston Wilson, Tim Gamble, Dayton Stamey, and Robert Hayes.

Special songs for the service will include "He Knows My Name" performed by Karen Rabon, and "With Hope" by Steven Curtis Chapman.
