Georgetown: Kenneth Avis, 63, died Friday, February 27, 2009, at his residence. Mr. Avis was born in Cleveland, Oh. on June 23, 1945, the son of the late Earl Avis and Margaret Wellman Avis. He grew up in North Royalton, Oh. and served in the Air Force. Mr. Avis moved to Andrews in 1988 from Middlefield, Oh. He retired from BE&K Construction Co. over six years ago. Surviving are: his wife, Betty L. Avis of Georgetown; two sons Kenneth E. (Teresa) Avis of Georgetown and Brian K. Avis of Juno, Alaska; a step-son, William J. Anderson of Andrews; a sister-in-law, Eunice Stillwell of Andrews; four grandchildren, Joshua D. Jarvis, Tabitha A.
