Pawleys Island: Kenneth "Kenny" Randall McAllister, 55, died Saturday, August 12, 2006, at the Medical University of South Carolina Hospital in Charleston. Mr. McAllister was born in Georgetown on April 5, 1951, a son of the late Willie Joe "Billy" McAllister and Finette "Net" Hoover McAllister. He grew up in Georgetown, was a graduate of Winyah High School, and attended Horry-Georgetown Technical College. Mr. McAllister served in the U.S Air Force. Mr. McAllister was an employee of Georgetown Steel Corp., now known at Mittal Steel, for twenty-nine years. He served on the Pawleys Island Town Council from 1997-2001 and was the town's Mayor Pro Tem from 1997-1999. Mr. McAllister was a charter member of the Pawleys Island-Litchfield Rescue Squad. Surviving are: his wife, Mary Stevens McAllister of Pawleys Island; a brother, William D. McAllister of Pawleys Island; a sister, Jo Etta M.
