Georgetown: Kenneth Eugene Williams, 70, died Tuesday morning, March 31, 2009, at his residence. Mr. Williams was born in Charleston on January 13, 1939, a son of the late Charles Dickson Cox and Rosa Lee Williams Cox. He grew up in Georgetown and served in the U. S. Army for nine years and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Mr. Williams was a mechanic in California and Riviera, Arizona for a number of years. He returned to Georgetown approximately twenty years ago and was a commercial fisherman for a time. Mr. Williams was a Baptist. Surviving are: two sons, Kelly Eugene Williams of Sandpoint, Idaho and Charles "Chuck" Albert Williams of Bakersfield, California; two brothers, Foster Cox of Andrews and Roger D. Cox of Georgetown; two sisters, Mavis C. Williams of Georgetown and Nell C. Young of Marianna, Florida; two grandchildren; and his fiancé, Mildred C. Wilson of Georgetown. Stephen Candal and the Rev. Chris Giles. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
