Pawleys Island: Robert Brian Knippschild, 57, died unexpectedly at his residence on May 4, 2019. Robert, "Bob," Knippschild was born March 6, 1962, the loving and loyal son of William Knippschild and the late Ernestine Ott Knippschild. Bob grew up in Aston, Pennsylvania. After graduating high school, he joined the Navy, proudly serving from August 1983 to September 1993. Petty Officer Second Class Knippschild was stationed all along the East Coast, serving at Philadelphia, PA, Camp LeJune, NC, Quantico, VA, and Lakehurst NJ, with his former spouse and children. Bob always hand a lending hand, open heart, and big laugh. His bright smile is missed by all who loved him. He enjoyed traveling, computer science, meeting new people, and spending time with loved ones. He is dearly loved and dearly missed. Robert is survived by his father, William Knippschild, brother William "Billie" Knippschild, sister Clara (Knippschild) Orlando, sons Robert Knippschild, Jonathan Knippschild, and Jason Knippschild , former wife Fran Knippschild, nieces Kirsten O'Neill, Alyssa Harper, Carinna LaRocco, Laura DeLuca, and a plethora of great-nieces and nephews. Services held privately by the family. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the J.O.Y School, located at Pawley's Island Presbyterian Church.
