Moncks Corner:
Lala Dunn Rogers, 89, widow of Willie "Bill" Oma Rogers, died Friday, March 16, 2012, at Life Care Center of Charleston.
Mrs. Rogers was born November 1, 1922 in Deep Creek, N. C., a daughter of the late Lonnie Jackson Dunn and Betty Jane Wilkins Dunn. She grew up in N. C. and lived in Georgetown for many years. After the death of her husband in 1992, she moved to Moncks Corner.
In addition to her husband and parents Mrs. Rogers was predeceased by: two stepsons, three brothers, and a sister.
Surviving are: two daughters, Mary Rogers Nesbitt (Frank) of Moncks Corner and Jackie Marie San-Cartier of Benson, N. C.; a step-son Ned Rogers of Georgetown; a sister, Marie Kombert of Goose Creek; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be two o'clock Monday afternoon, March 19, 2012, at the graveside in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens in Georgetown. Officiating will be the Rev. Lacey Jones.
