Pawley's Island:
Laurine Hopkins Norman, 72, died Sunday, February 8, 2004, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital in Georgetown.
Mrs. Norman was born September 8, 1931 in Newport, Tenn., a daughter of the late Fletcher White Hopkins and Alice Nailon Hopkins. She moved to Woodstown, N. J. as a child and grew up there. Mrs. Norman lived in McClain, Va. prior to moving to Pawley's Island in 1995. She was a member of Precious Blood of Christ Catholic Church and the widow of William Rudolph Norman.
Surviving are: a son, John Fletcher Norman of Vienna, Va.; two brothers, Austin Hopkins of Gibson, Tenn. and P. Everett Hopkins of Penns Grove, N. J.; and a sister, Geraldine H. Suchocki of Summit, N. Y.
The Funeral Mass will be Saturday afternoon, February 14, 2004, at one o'clock in Precious Blood of Christ Catholic Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Patrick J. Stenson and the Rev. Frank S. Holsclaw. Burial will follow in Pawley's Island Presbyterian Churchyard.
The family will receive friends at the residence from six until eight Friday evening, February 13, 2004.
