William "Lee" Bailey, Jr., 58 years old, passed away Sunday, July 16, 2023, at his home in Effingham, South Carolina. Born in Georgetown County, he was the beloved son of William Lee "Bill" Bailey, Sr., and Jackie (Morris) Bailey.

Lee graduated from Andrews High School in 1983 and continued his education at Newberry College for one year, before transferring to Francis Marion College; he graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration. Lee served as the purchasing manager at Canfor Southern Pines in Darlington for several years and was a member of Elim Methodist Church. An avid outdoorsman, Lee especially enjoyed turkey hunting. He enjoyed all sports, but was a fan of college football and NASCAR, and especially loved Dale Earnhardt. He never met a stranger and would talk as long as anyone would listen. Lee loved his friends and family members; he had a close relationship and special bond with his parents.

In addition to his parents of Andrews, he is survived by his wife, Linda (Moses) Bailey of Effingham and his stepchildren: Aaron; Scott and his wife, Kimberley; and David. He is also survived by his sister, Lesley B. Howard and her husband, Jimmy, and a nephew, John Taylor Blakeley.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Helen Morris and Arthur Lee and Elva Bailey, as well as two uncles, Wila Hamer, and Clifford "Kip" Morris.

A service of death and resurrection for William Lee Bailey, Jr., will be at 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 19, 2023, in the Trinity Global Methodist Church in Andrews. Burial will follow in Elim United Methodist Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the church beginning at 4:00 pm.
