Georgetown: Lee Roy Jacobs, Sr., 83, died Friday, May 27, 2016, at Tidelands Community Hospice House of Georgetown. Mr. Jacobs was born in Georgetown on May 29, 1932, a son of the late Daniel Theodore Jacobs and Carrie Rebecca Forbes Jacobs. He grew up in Georgetown and severed in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked for Daniel Construction for many years. Mr. Jacobs ran his own body shop most of his life and also, worked for many other local businesses. Surviving are: two daughters, Karen Renay Belcher (D.B.) and Sandy Cribb (James) both of Georgetown; two sons, Lee Roy Jacobs, Jr. of Andrews and Kendal Theodore Jacobs; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at eleven o'clock on Thursday morning, June 2, 2016, at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home. Officiating will be the Rev. Billy Mills.
