Georgetown:
Lewis Gordon Haselden, Sr., 89, widower of Earline Barrineau Haselden, died Friday, July 18, 2014, at Tidelands Community Hospice House.
Mr. Haselden was born in Georgetown on October 13, 1924, a son of the late William Power Haselden and Florence Julette Jayroe Haselden. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Haselden was the former owner of Haselden Oil Co. and served on the Georgetown Co. Disabilities and Special Needs Board. He was a charter member of Wayne United Methodist Church.
Surviving are: a daughter, Karen Haselden Hemingway (Bill) of Georgetown; two grandsons, Frederick Kane Travis and Lewis Rhem Hemingway, both of Georgetown; and a sister, Lettie Mae Haselden Howell of Georgetown. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Haselden was predeceased by: two sons, Lewis Gordon Haselden, Jr. and Stephen Matthew Haselden; and two brothers, William Power Haselden and James Clifton Haselden.
Graveside services will be held at eleven o'clock on Saturday morning, July 19, 2014, at Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. Officiating will be Charles Wells.
