Andrews: Lilace Christine Taylor Ward, 87, died Monday, February 11, 2008, at her residence. Mrs. Ward was born in Cross on February 1, 1921, a daughter of the late Gordon Mouzon Taylor and Minnie Christine Howard Taylor. She was a member of Spring Pond Pentecostal Holiness Church and the widow of John Porter Ward. Surviving are: three sons, Joseph Ward of Georgetown and Claude Ward and Roger Ward, both of Andrews; two daughters, Gloria Jones and Christine Smith, both of Andrews; twelve grandchildren; and twenty-two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be eleven o'clock Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at Spring Pond Pentecostal Holiness Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Tom Skipper, the Rev. Eddy Knight, and Legrand Campbell.
