Andrews ~

Lillian Imogene Bednego, 82, of Andrews, SC, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at her home.

Born March 17, 1943, in Williamsburg County, she was the second daughter of the late Enos Wilbur Bednego and Lillian Viola Avant Bednego. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Octavia Bednego White, and two nephews, Tony Cooper and Greg Cooper.

Her labors included many years as a secretary and bookkeeper at Andrews Furniture Company in Andrews, SC. In later years she worked with her sister, Geraldine, at Fairy Land Daycare.

She was one of the founding officers of The Christian Fortress, and she served as secretary for over 40 years. Imogene loved the bus ministry and labored diligently to bring others to church.

Imogene is survived by two sisters; Almina Bednego Owens and Geraldine Bednego, two nieces; Michelle Cooper and Tammy Fontaine, two great nephews; Ridge Cooper (Cassie) and John Henry Fontaine, a great niece; Marie Fontaine, three great-great nieces; Finleigh Davis, Kinsley Cooper, and Jayden Johnson, and one great-great nephew; Daniel Johnson.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 - 9:00 PM on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at The Christian Fortress.

Funeral Services will be at 4:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at The Christian Fortress. Burial will follow at Andrews Memorial Cemetery.
