Georgetown:
Lillian Barker Kirkland, 89, died Saturday, October 23, 2004.
Mrs. Kirkland was born in Olar on July 13, 1915, a daughter of the late William Washington Barker and Anna Eliza Morris Barker. She was a graduate of Olar High School. Mrs. Kirkland was the former bookkeeper for the family business, Georgetown Auto Parts, and a member of Olar Baptist Church. She was the widow of Claude Dickinson Kirkland.
Surviving are: a son Claude D. Kirkland, Jr. and his wife Laura Strickland Kirkland of Georgetown; a grandson, Claude "Tres" D. Kirkland, III and his wife Amber Shreve Kirkland of Myrtle Beach; and a great-grandson, Cooper Michael Kirkland of Myrtle Beach.
Funeral services will be two o'clock Tuesday afternoon, October 26, 2004 at the graveside in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Ted A. Sherrill and the Rev. Hiram L. McElrath.
