Georgetown: Lillie Tanner Creel, 75, died Saturday, December 22, 2012, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Creel was born in the Pleasant Hill community of Georgetown Co. on December 1, 1937, a daughter of the late Willie Davis Tanner and Eva Mae Cribb Tanner. She grew up in the Pleasant Hill community and graduated from Pleasant Hill High School. Mrs. Creel moved to Georgetown as a young woman. Surviving are: a son Dale Johnson of Conway; two daughters, Brenda Humes (James) of Richmond, Va. and Linda Cusack of Myrtle Beach; two sisters, Dorris Miller and Thelma Forbes, both of Georgetown; and eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be two o'clock Monday afternoon, December 24, 2012, at the graveside in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. Officiating will be the Rev. Kenneth M. Johnson.
