Georgetown: Linda Cribb Davidson, 79, wife of Hubert L. Davidson, died Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at MUSC Medical Center in Charleston. Mrs. Davidson was born in Columbia on June 20, 1938, a daughter of the late Garris Cribb and Glenna Mullen Cribb. She grew up in Georgetown and graduated from Winyah High School. Mrs. Davidson attended Converse College and graduated from Columbia College with a teaching degree. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, an honor society for women educators. Mrs. Davidson taught in the Georgetown County Public School system as an elementary schoolteacher for thirty-two years until retirement. She was a member of Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church, a former choir member, and member of the United Methodist Women. In retirement, Mrs. Davidson went on short term mission trips to Central American. Hubert and Linda were married for fifty-three years as of December 18th. In addition to her husband of Georgetown, Mrs. Davidson is survived by: a son, Hubert "Bert" Davidson, Jr. (Erin) of Valparaiso, IN; a daughter; Julia Davidson Bellamy (David) of Charlotte, NC; and four grandchildren; Rachel and Jack Bellamy, and Logan and Andrew Davidson. Memorial Services will be Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at twelve noon in Duncan United Methodist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Dora Gafford. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 27, 2017, in the Church Fellowship Hall from eleven until twelve o'clock.
