Pawleys Island: Linda Moore Hayworth, 68, died Saturday, September 22, 2012, at Tidelands Community Hospice House. Mrs. Hayworth was born in Pinehurst, N.C. on July 20, 1944, a daughter of the late Richard Henry Moore and Loretta Purvis Moore. Her father started a business in Asheboro, N.C., and the family moved there when Linda was five. Mrs. Hayworth graduated from Asheboro High School in 1962, St. Mary's College in Raleigh, N.C. in 1964, attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tenn., and graduated from Hardbarger's Business College in Raleigh. She worked in Raleigh for an architectural firm before moving back to Asheboro. Mrs. Hayworth and her husband moved to Pawleys Island in 1998. Surviving are: her husband of 42 years, William Wade Hayworth of Pawleys Island; two sons, William Brian Hayworth of Wilmington, N.C. and John Reynolds Hayworth of Durham, N.C.; two grandchildren, Jonathan and Abby; a brother, Henry Moore (Charlotte) of Pawleys Island; a brother-in-law, Tom Hayworth (Jane) of Asheboro; one niece; and three nephews. A visitation will be held at Pugh Funeral Home in Asheboro on Thursday morning, September 27, 2012, from eleven o'clock until twelve noon.
