Georgetown:
Linda Louise Whitnauer Hewitt, 55, died Friday, October 10, 2003, at the Medical University of South Carolina Hospital in Charleston.
Mrs. Hewitt was born in Charleston on February 18, 1948, a daughter of the late John Leonard Whitnauer and Retha Mae Cribb Whitnauer. She was a member of Sampit Pentecostal Holiness Church and the Adult Sunday School Class of the church.
Surviving are: her husband, the Rev. Bishop J. K. Hewitt, Sr. of Georgetown; a son Joseph K. Hewitt, Jr. of Georgetown; two daughters, Linda C. Mitchell and Wendy L. Mitchell, both of Moncks Corner; four brothers, John L. Whitnauer, Jr. of Rhem's, Jack A. Whitnauer of Georgetown, Frank H. Whitnauer of Blackville, and Lawrence Whitnauer of Columbia; two sisters, Sherrell Whitnauer of Moncks Corner and Merrell Casselman of Andrews; and six grandchildren.
Mrs. Hewitt was predeceased by: a son, Avery Alan Hewitt; and a grandchild.
Funeral services will be two o'clock Monday afternoon, October 13, 2003, at Sampit Pentecostal Holiness Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Robert Haselden and the Rev. Geary Blakely. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home Sunday evening, October 12, 2003, from seven until nine o'clock.
