McClellanville: Katherine "Lloyd" Johnson McClellan, 88, widow of James Brailsford McClellan, passed away peacefully at her son's home in Jamestown on Tuesday, November 6, 2018. Lloyd was born in McClellanville on June 16, 1930, a daughter of the late Dewey Lloyd Johnson and Caroline Juliet Lofton Johnson. She was a loving Mother and Grandmother to her family and was sometimes known as the "Village Grandmother". Lloyd will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, Lloyd was predeceased by: a sister, Harriet Lewis and a grandson, John McClellan. Surviving are: four sons, James B. (Lynn) McClellan, Leland E. (Karen) McClellan, Dewey L. (Jenna) McClellan, and Richard S. McClellan; two daughters, Katherine Jones and Gail Floyd; eleven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be Sunday, November 11, 2018 at three o'clock at the graveside in McClellanville United Methodist Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. David Phillips.
