Georgetown:
Lois Roberts Barnes, 64, died Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Barnes was born in Charlottesville, Va. on April 26, 1948, a daughter of the late John Samuel Roberts and Lizzie Ann Shifflett Roberts. She was employed at Carver's Bay Store for approximately ten years, where her customers were her family. Mrs. Barnes was a loving wife, mother, and nana and enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family and friends, and shopping.
Surviving are: her husband, Leroy "Buddy" Barnes of Georgetown; two sons, Henry Barnes (Lisa) of Georgetown and Tommy Barnes (Marie) of Rhems; a daughter, Holly Barnes Andriaschko (Nik) of Hanahan; nine grandchildren, Christopher, Garrett, Kaitlyn, Madison, Hanna and Owen Barnes, Tony McRae, and Kody and Kyle Andriaschko; two sisters, Darlene McKrush and Barb Romanowski; and a brother, Sam Roberts.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Barnes was predeceased by: two brothers, John Roberts, Jr. and Wayne Roberts; and a sister, Sharlene Roberts.
Memorial services will be held at two o'clock on Monday afternoon, March 18, 2013, at Liberty Southern Christian Assembly in Hemingway. Officiating will be the Rev. Scott Stone.
Friends may call at the residence of Marie and Tommy Barnes at 194 Fieldcrest Rd. in Georgetown.
