Georgetown:
Lois Jones Kanehl, 99, died Tuesday, December 15, 2009, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Kanehl was born in Bastrop, La. on January 11, 1910, a daughter of the late James Jones and Fannie Middlebrooks Jones. She lived in Georgetown for many years and was a retired employee of Holliday Oil Co. Mrs. Kanehl was a member of the Church of Christ.
Mrs. Kanehl was predeceased by: her husband, LeRoy Leonard Kanehl; and three daughters, Barbara G. Parsons, Sue G. Morris, and an infant daughter.
Surviving are: four grandsons, I. Earl Parsons, Jr., Christopher Oliver Morris, and Dustin Monroe Morris, all of Georgetown, and James Emory Morris of N. C.; a granddaughter, Barbara P. Al-Yousuf of Dubai, United Arab Emirates; and a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be two o'clock Sunday afternoon, December 20, 2009, at the Church of Christ. Officiating will be Mr. Barry Griffith. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
