Andrews:
Lonnie Eugene Fulton, Sr., 90, died Saturday, December 4, 2010, at his residence.
Mr. Fulton was born near Andrews on August 23, 1920, a son of the late Thomas F. Fulton and Ollie V. Powell Fulton. He grew up in the Big Dam community of Georgetown County near Andrews and served in the U.S. Army in World War II. Mr. Fulton retired in 1985 from CSX Railroad and ran Fulton's Grocery for many years. Mr. Fulton was a member of Black River Free Will Baptist Church.
Surviving are: his wife, Rosa Lee Casselman Fulton of Georgetown; three sons, Gene Fulton (Diane), Jerry Fulton and Roger Fulton (Joann), all of Andrews; a daughter, Patsy Ruth Towne of Georgetown; nine grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. Mr. Fulton was predeceased by his first wife, Geneva Wheeler Fulton.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday morning, December 8, 2010, at Black River Free Will Baptist Church at eleven o'clock. Officiating will be the Rev. Jeffrey L. Cockrell and the Rev. Murray Powell. Burial with military rites will follow in Harmony Cemetery.
