Georgetown:
Loretta Lynn Redick, 56, got her heavenly wings and went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 10, 2022, from her earthly home in Yauhanna, outside of Georgetown.
Loretta was born in Georgetown on May 8, 1965. She was the daughter of Jack Edward Redick and Priscilla Tanner Redick. She attended school at Andrews High School.
Loretta was retired from VCA Animal Hospital, where she loved working with the animals. If left to her, she would have brought all of them home with her. She enjoyed raising Boxers. She leaves behind her beloved children (Pets) General, Sarge, Dixie, Bella, Nelly Little Bit, Little Man, and Ms. Daisy, who will miss her dearly. She loved working in her flowers in her yard.
Loretta was predeceased in death by: her parents, Jack and Priscilla Redick; a brother, Richard "Ricky" Redick; a daughter Sylvia Renee Floyd; a niece, Deborah Annette Weavil Stewart; and grandparents, Robert and Myrtle Redick and W. D. and Eva Cribb Tanner.
She has one surviving sister, Debra Redick Harper and her husband Steve Harper; her companion of 16 years, Larry Lightsey; a niece, Priscilla "Prissy" Harper; several great-nephews, Davy Stewart (Jessica); Shawn Stewart (Karina), Brandon Stewart, and Dusty Phillips; three uncles, David Redick, Francis Redick (Donna) and, James Redick (Brenda); and several cousins.
The family will receive friends at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer-Ethridge Funeral Home on Friday, April 15, 2022, from 5:00 until 7:00 PM.
Graveside services and burial will be 2:00 PM Saturday, April 16, 2022, at Sampit United Methodist Churchyard in the Sampit Community of Georgetown County.
