Andrews:
Louis Kenneth "Gator" Tisdale, 69, husband of Debra Creel Tisdale died Wednesday afternoon, December 1, 2021, in Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Tisdale was born in Kingstree on November 12, 1952, a son of the late Leland Tisdale and Ruby Bazen Tisdale.
Mr. Tisdale grew up in Andrews and attended Andrews High School. He owned a plumbing company until retiring, his grandson Conner is carrying on his grandfather's legacy. Mr. Tisdale always made the time to help anyone who needed his services; plumbing was a passion of his. He was known for his sense of humor and was always telling a joke "even if no one thought it was funny". He always had a smile and was known by all as "Gator" and will surely be missed.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Tisdale was predeceased by: four siblings, T.C. Poston, Jane Player, Willie Mae Howard and Mick Tisdale; and one nephew, Michael Tisdale.
Surviving are: his wife of Andrews; two daughters Hope T. Cantley (Brian) and Morgan Tisdale both of Andrews; three grandchildren, Conner Thomas Cantley, Olivia Paige Cantley, both of Andrews, and Terrell DeShane Collington of Georgetown; and one special sister-in-law, Elaine Wilson.
Funeral Services will be twelve-thirty Saturday, December 4, 2021, at the Andrews Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home. Officiating will be the Rev. Geraldine Bednego. Burial will follow in the McClary Cemetery, Kingstree, SC.
The family will receive friends prior to the service at the Andrews Chapel on Saturday, December 4, 2021, from ten-thirty until twelve-thirty.
