Obituary

Georgetown: Lt. Comdr. Edgar Ellsworth Lewis, 90, died Sunday, November 14, 2010, at his residence. Mr. Lewis was born in Omaha, Neb. on April 1, 1920. He served in the U.S. Navy at Pearl Harbor during World War II and also served in the Korean Conflict. Mr. Lewis was awarded the Bronze Star during Vietnam. He retired after 28 years of service. Surviving are: his daughter, Donna Hansen (Rudy) of Georgetown; a son, James Lewis (Eileen) of Surfside Beach; five grandchildren, Leigh McHargue (Darrin) of Taneytown, Md., Jodie Eckard (Todd) of Gettysburg, Pa., Kristen Young (Bill) of Tampa, Fla., Melissa Boyd (Ronnie) of Carroll Valley, Pa. and James Lewis of Surfside Beach; twelve great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
