Lucille was born in Williamsburg County on September 7, 1923 to the late Johnnie and Mettie Cox. She married Ted Player on December 24, 1941. Surviving are her son Ronnie (Mary) Player of Branson, MO; Six grandchildren: Rhonda (Brad) Hood of Marshalltown, IA, Karen (Cory) Pavlik of Lincoln, NE, Nichole (Keith) Powery of Peachtree Corners, GA, Richard (Jenny) Player of Macedonia, IA, Roger (Brooke) Player of Omaha, NE, and Rachel (Luke) Burtwistle of Gretna, NE; 6 Great Grandsons; 9 Great Granddaughters; 1 Great Great-Grandson; Siblings: Hattie Cantley, Magie Cribb, Wayne (Harriet) Cox; Sisters-in-law: Patsy Cox, Louise Cox Lucille was preceded in death by: her husband, Ted Player: her parents; and siblings, Ralph Cox, Lorenza Cox, Roneldo "Shorty" Cox, Warren Cox, and sister, Lola Bell Funeral services will be eleven o'clock Friday morning, July 3, 2015, at Piney Forest Baptist Church.
