Lynette Balliew Hinds, 88, wife of Douglas Lanford Hinds, died November 11, 2022 at the Lakes at Litchfield.
Mrs. Hinds was born in Alta Vista, VA on January 17, 1934, a daughter of the late Doyle Wofford Balliew and Mable Pope Balliew. She was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Georgetown where she was the pianist for many years, and a member of the Ruth Sunday School Class. She loved decorating and working in her garden, but her greatest love was for her husband, children and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hinds was predeceased by: one sister, Martha Ann Lowe; her mother and father-in-law, Lillian and Jody Hinds; a son-in-law, David Cruise.
Surviving are: her husband of Georgetown; a son, Scott Hinds (Frankie) of Johnston, SC; two daughters, Allyson Cruise of Georgetown, and Tootie Willhelm (Rob) of Fairhope, AL; five grandchildren, Lanford Wrenn, Blair Willhelm, Stephen Wrenn, Wofford Willhelm (Tabatha) and Savannah Hinds, four great grandchildren, Colin, Kayla, Cantley and Kennedy.
Funeral Services will be eleven o'clock Monday, November 14, 2022, at First Baptist Church of Georgetown. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Ted Sherrill and Rev. Keith Wall.
The family will receive friends prior to the service in the church parlor from ten until eleven o'clock.
