Pawley's Island:
Mabel Casselman Player, 83, died December 13, 2006, at Prince George Healthcare Center.
Mrs. Player was born in Andrews on September 19, 1923, a daughter of the late Mottie M. Casselman and Lillian Carraway Casselman. She was a founding member of the Pawley's Island Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Player held many positions in her Church including President and Treasurer of the Women of the Church, Youth Director, and Sunday School Teacher. She was the widow of Daniel O'Neil Player.
Surviving are: three daughters, Diana P. Altman and her husband Ted of Pawley's Island, Sandy P. Lewis and her husband Johnny of Murrells Inlet, Jeannie P. Wollman and her husband Alan of Palmetto, Fla.; four grandchildren, David Altman, Danielle Lewis, Sean Wolfman, and Myles Wolfman; three great-grandchildren, Kendall Altman, Trey Altman, and Ashley Altman; and a sister, Jeanette C. Burkett of Georgetown.
Funeral services will be Friday morning, December 15, 2006, at eleven o'clock at the graveside in Pawley's Island Presbyterian Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. Frank S. Holsclaw.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening, December 14, 2006, from six until eight o'clock at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home.
