Georgetown:
Macajiah Theron "M. T." Williams, 82, died Thursday, April 9, 2009, at East Cooper Regional Medical Center in Mt. Pleasant.
Mr. Williams was born in Rocky Mount, N. C. on April 26, 1926, a son of the late Theron Williams and Vera Green Williams. He grew up in Myrtle Beach and served in the Army during World War II in the Aleutian Islands. Mr. Williams attended the University of South Carolina. He retired after thirty-five years employment with International Paper Co. Mr. Williams was a member of Wayne United Methodist Church and the widower of Dolly Wheeler Williams.
Mr. Williams lived in Georgetown and Pawleys Island for over forty years. He recently lived in Charlotte, N. C. for a time and was currently living in McClellanville. Mr. Williams loved golf, his home at Belle Isle Gardens, and walks on the beach at Pawleys Island.
Surviving are: three sons, Macajiah T. ( Sheryl) Williams, Jr., of McClellanville, Rickey D. Williams of Pawleys Island, and Tracy W. Williams of Charlotte, N. C.; a daughter, Verice W. (Bob) James of Marvin, N. C.; and six grandchildren, Shaw James, Peyton James, Amber Williams, Kacie Williams, Logan Williams and Abigail Mae Williams.
Memorial services will be three-thirty Monday, April 13, 2009, at the graveside in Harmony Cemetery near Andrews. Officiating will be the Rev. Stephen R. Jordan.
