Georgetown ~

Manuel Barrientos, also known as Lito, was a beloved son, husband, father, and friend who passed away on the early morning of December 26, 2023, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital. He was born on May 2, 1957, in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, to his mother Elvia Olivia Trochez and his father Manuel Barrientos.

Lito was known for his respectful and serious demeanor, as well as his big heart. He was a man of strong convictions and always stood up for what he believed in. His love for his children, wife, and family was the center of his world.

A hardworking individual, Lito was dedicated to providing for his family from a young age. He began working alongside his father in woodworking projects, which sparked his passion for carpentry. Over time, he perfected his craft and became a skilled carpenter and cabinet maker.

As the middle child and the oldest male in his siblings, Lito took on the responsibility of being a role model for his siblings. Though reserved, his love for his family was always evident. He was the first in the family to venture to South Carolina, where he encouraged his loved ones to join him in pursuit of a better life. He believed in creating a peaceful, loving, and secure environment for his children, away from the challenges of living in New York.

Lito's dedication to his work and his craft opened doors for him in his new home. He was a responsible and stern individual, always making the right choices and striving for excellence.

Despite his serious nature, Lito always made time for family reunions and cherished those moments. He was adored by his nephews, as he always sought what was best for them. He believed that nothing was impossible and constantly searched for ways to improve the quality of life for his loved ones.

Lito's legacy will live on through his children, Alexander, Clarissa, Brian, Lennin, Alison, Megan Barrientos, and his wife, Maribel Barrientos Trochez. He taught them to never give up and to always strive for their dreams. He leaves behind a lasting impact on all who knew him, as a man of integrity, love, and determination.

May his soul rest in peace. We love you very much. 🕊️🤍
